Title and Escrow Services Throughout Michigan and Illinois

“Breaking the Ice”…with Renee Smith

Our focus this week is on Account Executive, Renee Smith. Renee joined the Parks Title team just six months ago, in August of 2014, but she brings with her more than twenty years of experience in the real estate industry. Based out of our Rochester Hills office, she services many of the surrounding areas throughout Oakland and Macomb Counties.

Renee grew up in Clinton Township and graduated from Chippewa Valley High School, where she met her husband, Tim.  Married in 1992, they have two teenage sons, Zachary, 17, and Evan, 15. Renee and her family have lived in Romeo for nearly 17 years, in a home they built themselves. They are an extremely active family. The boys are involved in baseball, football, basketball and golf, and Renee has developed a love for running, her record being six 5k runs completed in one year!

Both team members and clients alike will agree it is that energetic, positive spirit that makes Renee such a joy to work with. Fellow team member, Patty Deason, says she absolutely loves working with Renee because, “It’s amazing how positive she is, and how much she goes above and beyond for each and every person, whether they are a client or not. She is the perfect example of what a Parks Title employee should be, and I am proud to work with her.”

Julie K. of First Independence Bank, a client of Renee’s, recently shared a similar sentiment, and expressed her gratitude for the kind of service that Renee and Parks Title provide. “Renee and her support staff are wonderful to work with. They are always available to assist in any way possible. I highly recommend having Renee coordinate your next closing. Thanks, Renee, for all you do.”

And thank you from Parks Title, Renee, for being such a wonderful representative of our team!

10 Questions with Renee

1. If you could have any job in the world (apart from the Parks Title Sales Team, of course), what would it be?

Dream job would include travel, wine tasting and shopping. If I could mix these together and create a job, it would be a definite dream!

2. What do you keep in the trunk of your car?

In my trunk you will always find my “Mary Poppins” bag, so called because of the various items you will find in it at any given time.  This is truly my staple for all of my sons’ sporting events which takes me to ball parks, football fields, and gyms. Items include:

First and foremost is my cowbell (because yes I am “that” parent…lol), snacks, hand sanitizer, first aid kit, snacks, blanket, snacks, Velcro rollers (because you just never know when you’ll need one!), sunblock, snacks, hand warmers….oh and did I mention snacks?

3. If you had one extra hour of free time per day, how would you use it?

Way to many things to consider, but if it is warm out definitely sitting in the sun reading magazines!!!

4. If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do, and why?

I love the flying trapeze, but I could probably use a lesson in juggling since I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

5. What type of punctuation mark best represents your personality?

Of course !!!!  Followed by …….  My brain does not stop. It seems to just keep going.

6. What is the weirdest (unusual) thing you’ve ever eaten?

Probably what my husband (who is a hunter) told me was “tree top chicken.”  Well can you guess what that is?? It is SQUIRREL. (I do not recommend it!) I have also tried deep fried turtle — would not recommend this either!

7. If you could plan your ultimate vacation, where would you go?

Right now I would say anywhere warm, but really Hawaii and Abu Dhabi.

8. What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?

I need to get to the gym.

9. Tell me some things you’re thankful for.

I am so thankful for my family and great friends.

10. What do you enjoy about being a member of the Parks Title team?

I love being part of a team that is always there to support one another!  I have only been with Parks for a short time, but I have already made not just business relationships but friendships that I know will last a life time!!
